What happened?

If a Prusa Printer with a CoreXY detects a crash, the printer will attempt to find a reference point through a procedure called precise homing. If the right and left sides are not aligned, the precise homing will fail, and this error will be shown.

Error name: Precise Refinement Failed

Error code: #31102 (CORE One) #35102 (CORE One L) #17102 (XL) 

How to fix it?

Check the belt tension (Adjusting belt tension (CORE One L, CORE One) or Adjusting belt tension (XL)) and adjust it if needed. Ensure that the printer's right and left sides are perfectly aligned.

After correctly adjusting the belts, the two plastic parts on the sides of the rail should reach the front of the axis together.

Everything seems to be good. Belt tension 95.5 and 91.5, both sides of rail hit front simultaneously same in back. Fails homing calibration. Not sure what to do here. I have two Core Ones at work, one kit and one assembled and neither have given me this problem.

UPDATE: Grub screws on both steppers were a tiny bit loose. All is well now.

Core One fails to home every so often out of the blue, which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for everything being fine such as gantry aligned and the belts having the correct tension then after few retries it's just okay again...

The randomness kind of kills any trust in the machine, and I almost dread using it because I know if the homing fails I'll be off on a wild goose chase...

This was the only problem with the printer I assembled, and my solution was quite simple: using manual belt tuning, make printer vibrate on 95hz, and when it vibrates like that, adjust left side to vibrate on that frequency, then adjust right side (left side adjustment will be reset), then left side again, right, left, right... Until both of the belts vibrate, and then homing calibration no longer fails, and everything works perfectly.

Squaring also fixes itself during that procedure if you have problems with it going off during adjustments.

Mě se z toho chce brečet, kalibrací se zabývám už třetí den a nic k lepšímu.

Dobrý den. Zkuste využít kalibraci řemenů dostupnou ve firmwaru 6.4.0 RC. Pokud vám nebude vyhovovat stabilita systému, můžete po kalibraci nainstalovat starší stabilní verzi a pokračovat s napnutými řemeny.
