Heatbreak thermistor fail

What happened?

This warning means the printer has detected that the heatbreak thermistor is disconnected or providing invalid readings. The message shown is: Heatbreak thermistor is disconnected. Inspect the wiring.

The heatbreak thermistor monitors the temperature of the cold end of the hotend, the heatbreak. If the printer cannot read its value, it may indicate a disconnected cable, a faulty thermistor, or a problem on the board the sensor is connected to (the LoveBoard or the Dwarf Board).

How to fix it?

• Check the heatbreak thermistor wiring for visible signs of damage, disconnection, or loose connectors.
• Inspect the connector on the board where the thermistor plugs in, ensure it is fully seated and clean.
• If possible, try swapping the heatbreak thermistor with the nozzle thermistor, and perform a selftest. If the error moves with the sensor, the thermistor is likely faulty. If it stays on the same channel, the board or connector may be at fault.
