What happened?

For printing with MMU, it is fundamental that all parts move freely and correctly. If the selector cannot move properly, the following message appears: "The selector cannot move properly. Check for anything blocking its movement. Check the wiring is correct".

How to fix it?

The error message indicates that the MMU selector isn't moving properly. The main items to check are:

  • Check for any debris or residue that might be blocking the selector's movement.
  • Check the light on the FINDA, as the selector will only move if the light is on. If the light is off, redo the SuperFINDA calibration.

Hello, I have run into the issue multiple times where the filament will creep up in slots that aren’t currently printing. This will cause the filament selector to get stuck. A lot of times it’s not by much and the blades cut the filament but more often than not the filament has creeped too far for the blade to cut and the selector is jammed. Do you have a solution for this, did I do something wrong? I have checked the idler cover is not screwed down too tight and causing the filament to advance prematurely… the only fix I’ve found is the re-spool some of the filament so it takes pressure off the the filament when it’s stored and stops the creep. Hopefully this makes sense.
