For optimal print quality, the belts in your Prusa printer must be correctly tensioned. Loose belts can cause issues like layer shifting, ghosting, or irregular shapes in prints.
The recommended method to check the belt tension is using the Belt Tuner app. Follow the app's instructions for precise measurements.
On these older models, you can still use the built-in selftest or belt test under LCD Menu -> Calibration. Look for values between 260 and 290 on the LCD, with lower numbers indicating tighter belts. If adjustments are necessary, refer to the related instructions for the adjustments.
