What happened?

If you are printing a low-temperature filament that requires the printer grille to be open right after making a print that requires the grille to be closed, the printer sends this reminder to open the grille to ensure your print's success.

Having the grille open is important for the chamber ventilation, since low-temperature filaments might clog the nozzle and cause stringing.

Note that this message does not sense if the grille is open or not, and does not block the print from starting.

Warning name: Open chamber vents

Warning code: #31837

When receiving this warning, take the time to check if your grille is open or closed.

Wait... doesn't Core One have two FANS in the back? Can't these be used to cooldown the chamber instead of passive vent that we need to manually control? I mean what are these fans for then?

Hello. The fans are working as an exhaust , but to work properly, you need to have some opening for them. So the fans and the vent are working together.

You can make the printer open or close the vent on its own. Two simple printed parts and a bit of startup G-Code will let the print head push the grille into the correct position, depending on the current filament type:

(Note that the message in the display will disappear after a minute, and can be disabled entirely in the most recent firmware versions. So a print can be started without any local user intervention at the printer.)
