Filament spool: The Original Prusa MK4S is compatible with 1.75mm filaments.
Frame.
Z-Axis: vertical, consists of threaded and smooth rods, moves the Nextruder up and down.
Nextruder: Our new next-generation extruder with a planetary gearbox and LoadCell sensor.
X-axis stepper motor: moves the Nextruder left and right.
Electronics box: housing for the xBuddy board. Ethernet and Wi-Fi ports are accessible from the rear.
Z-axis stepper motor: one of two total. Z-axis motors move the Nextruder up and down.
LCD: used for control and configuration of the printer.
Spoolholder.
X-axis: a general name for the entire horizontal assembly consisting of two smooth rods, an X-axis motor, a belt and plastic parts. The Nextruder moves along the X-axis from left to right.
Power Supply Unit.
Print sheet: easy to maintain, held in place with strong magnets embedded in the heatbed.
Heatbed: proven Prusa MK52 heatbed.
USB port and USB drive: use the USB drive to print G-Codes (print files) and flash firmware.
Rotary knob: main control device with the Reset button directly below it.
Filament insertion point (from the top): the MK4S is compatible with 1.75mm filaments.
Idler lock (swivel): flip upwards to unlock the idler door.
Idler: maintains pressure on the filament strand, which is moved further into the extruder by the extruder gear.
Planetary gearbox and extruder motor.
Thumbscrew cover: flip the cover open to access the thumbscrews - you can detach the nozzle by unscrewing them.
Print fan: high-performance turbine for cooling the printed object.
Fan shroud: directs the air from the print fan towards the printed object.
Electronics cover: covers the breakout board.
Idler screws: these screws are used to adjust the pressure of the idler.
Heatsink fan: cools the aluminium heatsink behind it.
Nozzle: by default, a 0.4mm nozzle is installed.
