Safety is a crucial aspect of operating a machine, and we take it seriously. Our Prusa CORE One, and our Original Prusa XL, MK4/S, MK3.9/S, and MK3.5/S have dedicated safety and safety timer messages in particular situations.
Door closing (CORE One)
The Prusa CORE One is equipped with a door. For safety reasons, mainly to avoid burns and injuries due to the moving parts, it is crucial to have the door closed during any printer movement or printing. Closing the door is also advantageous to prevent air drafts and improve the print quality.

Heater timeout
For safety reasons, our printers automatically disable any heating in any case where the printer is idle for more than 30 minutes while heated.
Heatbreak thermistor (CORE One, XL, MK4/S, MK3.9/S)
Our Nextruder printers are equipped with a heatbreak thermistor, in addition to a nozzle thermistor. In case the printer detects a disconnection of the heatbreak thermistor, a warning message is shown.

Potential print detach following a power outage
The printers mentioned in this article are equipped with a power panic feature, allowing a print to be able to resume after a power outage or interruption.
However, adhesion to the print sheet is guaranteed by heatbed temperature. A power outage interrupts heatbed heating for a certain amount of time, potentially causing the print to be detached or become easily detached from the print sheet.
Before resuming a print after this scenario, inspect the print visibly to ensure it still adheres to the print sheet.
