Would this chapter not be much easier if we just removed the right side panel? The filament sensor is already removed, so it's just a matter of taking out the nylon rivets. Then it would be a lot easier to access the cable way behind the greasy smooth rod.
Yes, I highly recommend just removing the side panel. It makes steps 1 - 20 much, MUCH easier.
In particular the routing of the cable and handling the zipties are incredibly awkward as described but gets super easy if you just remove the side panel
But be careful with the rivets! They are easy to break or lose
If you mount the spool holders as described you only need 3 of the rivets though
In fact, at another recommendation, I removed the side panel almost at the very beginning of the assembly process. Having easier access to the inside of the printer makes many of the steps easier. And you get more light as a bonus.
Could this chapter have a clarification for cases where the side spool holders are not installed in locations where the spools are elsewhere. To which point can we jump if we skip the 8 spool holders? Does lack of them prevent anything from being attached later?
