To add a filtration system in the Prusa CORE One, we offer an Advanced Filtration System, a set containing a housing with a HEPA filter, carbon filter, and a high-pressure blower that can be installed on the back of the Prusa CORE One and fully integrates with the printer.

Studies have shown that most of the commonly used 3D printing materials should be safe; however, some are marked as "Requires filtration."

When printing filaments requiring filtration, the system automatically activates and manages the filtration fan during and after the print. Note that when activated, the Advanced Filtration System takes over chamber temperature except for critical overheat situations.

Users can now configure fan power and post-print filtration duration directly in Settings -> Chamber Filtration or via the Tune menu during printing. There, you will see the following options:

  • Chamber filtration: it is possible to find the option None to turn off the filtration, Adv. filtration when using the prusa advanced filtration system, and the option DYI when using alternative setups without a dedicated filtration fan, so when choosing this option, the existing cooling fans handle both cooling and filtration.
  • Minimum power: sets the minimum power level for the additional filtration fan. The printer will adjust the fan speed based on the chamber temperature control system up to the “Chamber Fans Limit” setting.
  • Post-print Filtration: toggles chamber filtration after the print is finished (strongly recommended).
  • Post-print Duration: sets the duration of additional filtration after the print is complete.
  • Post-print Power: adjusts the power level of post-print filtration to suit your needs.
A minimum of 40% is needed for effective filtration of the entire chamber.
In the printer menu in Control -> Temperature, it is possible to manually set the power of the filtration fan, just like you would for the chamber fans. The chamber and filtration fans can also be used simultaneously.
