Step 1 Tools necessary for this chapter

⬢For this chapter, please prepare:

⬢2.5mm Allen key

Step 2 ヒートベッドケーブルカバーを取り外します。

In the upcoming steps, you will replace the old heatbed thermistor (from your previous printer model) with a new version that is compatible with MK4, MK3.9, and MK3.5.

If you purchased a new heatbed with the upgrade kit — commonly for users with printers featuring 2+1 screws on the old heatbed — ensure that the new thermistor is pre-installed. You can easily verify this by checking for a white connector at the end of the thermistor cable. The presence of this connector indicates that the new thermistor is already in place and you can skip to M3nEs nuts: parts preparation

⬢ケーブル束を固定しているネジを外します。

⬢カバーを固定しているネジを外します。下側から、ネジを緩めながら、真ん中のM3nNナットをプライヤーでつかみます。

⬢Remove the cover.

⬢ヒートベッドの電源ケーブルを固定しているネジを外し、ヒートベッドからケーブルを取り外します。下側からペンチでM3nNナットをつかみ、ネジを外します。

Step 3 ヒートベッドサーミスタの取り外し

⬢ヒートベッドの下側から、黄色のカプトンテープと銀色のアルミテープをはがします。

⬢ヒートベッドからサーミスタケーブルを取り外します。

Step 4 新しいヒートベッドサーミスタ：部品の準備

⬢For the following steps, please prepare:

⬢MK用のヒートベッドサーミスタ (1個)

⬢Kapton tape (1x)

⬢Aluminum tape (1x)

説明書に注意してください。黄色いカプトンテープはすぐ丸まってしまい、最初の形状を復元することは困難です。

必要な部品はすべてヒートベッドサーミスタセットの袋に入っています。

Step 5 ヒートベッドとサーミスターを準備します。

⬢サーミスタとテープを取り外したら、全体を掃除して油脂分を取り除きます。アルミテープの下にあった接着剤は多少残っていても大丈夫です。

⬢サーミスタをヒートベッドに置きます。サーミスタの先端が円の中に入っていなければなりません。

ここがずれていると、プリンタは間違った温度を読み取ります。

センサーがヒートベッドのどちらに取り付けられているかに注意してください。

⬢銀色のアルミテープを手に取り、保護フィルムを丁寧にはがします。

⬢サーミスタの中心（楕円形の内側）にのみ、テープをヒートベッドに接着してください。正しい位置を再確認する必要があります。

⬢テープを少し剥がしたり曲げたりして、サーミスタの先端を出します。

Step 6 Covering the thermistor

⬢サーミスタの位置を保ち、アルミテープで覆います。サーミスタセンサー全体がテープで覆われていることを確認してください。

Step 7 サーミスタを所定の位置に固定します

最後に "黄色 "のカプトンテープを貼ります。丸まってしまうので、一度にテープ全体をはがさないでください。

⬢写真のように、カプトンテープを約0.5 cm剥がし、ヒートベッドに接着します。テープが正しく接続されていることを確認します。

カプトンテープがヒートベッドのネジ穴と重ならないようにしてください。

カプトンテープは、銀テープより面積が大きいです。銀色のテープが四方から重なっていることを確認してください。

⬢Continue with gluing the tape and stop for a second above the area with the thermistor. Pay great attention to sticking the tape everywhere.

⬢Finish gluing the tape to the heatbed. Double-check the entire surface is properly connected.

Step 8 M3nEs nuts: parts preparation

⬢For the following steps, please prepare:

⬢M3nEs nut (2x)

Step 9 M3nEsナットを差し込みます。

⬢M3nEsナットを左側の短いフレーム材（PSUのない側）に挿入します。スプリング（金属板）がある側を先に挿入します。

⬢指を使ってナットをフレーム材に押し入れます。

⬢Use this method for both M3nEs nuts. The exact position of the nuts doesn't matter at this time.

Step 10 ケーブルクリップ：部品の準備

⬢For the following steps, please prepare:

Step 11 Installing the cable clips

⬢写真のようにフレームを回転させ、マークした部分に注目します。

⬢ケーブルクリップを1つ取り、クリップのある側を下側の長い押し出し部分の内側の溝に引っ掛けます。部品にフックがあるので、詳細を参照してください。

⬢クリップのもう一方の端をフレーム材の下側に置きます。

⬢ケーブル・クリップの下側をより強い力で押します。溝にはまり、「カチッ」と音がするはずです。

Step 12 Installing the cable clips

⬢長いフレーム材へのクリップの取り付け

⬢短いフレーム材へのクリップの取り付け

⬢フレームを回転させ、2つ目の短いフレーム材に2つのクリップを取り付けます。

Step 13 PG-front-case: parts preparation

⬢For the following steps, please prepare:

⬢PG-front-case (1x)

⬢Spacer 13x24x2.5 (1x) can be black or white

Spacer 13x24x2.5 can be found in the NEXTRUDER bag and it can be black or white.

Step 14 Assembling the PG-front-case

⬢スペーサーをPG-front-caseの円形のくぼみに入れ、下まで押し込みます。ワッシャーの正しい向きに注意してください。

ワッシャーの3つの丸がある側を上にしないでください。そうしないと遊星ギアが正しく作動しません。

⬢Make sure the washer is pushed evenly into the printed part.

Step 15 Stickers and labels: parts preparation I.

⬢For the following steps, please prepare:

⬢xLCD-cover (1x)

⬢PG-front-case (1x)

⬢xLCD-cover MK3.9 sticker (1x) rectangular shape, optional

⬢PG-case MK3.9 sticker (1x) square shape, optional

⬢Serial number label (1x) silver label

Step 16 Stickers and labels: parts preparation II.

⬢Cleaning pad (1x)

Step 17 xLCD-cover sticker (optional)

This and the following step are optional. Also, please BE PATIENT, smaller letters require more effort in order to be transfered and glued properly.

⬢クリーニングパッドを使用して、xLCDカバーの丸い穴のない面を掃除します。

⬢保護層の一部を剥がし、xLCD-coverにステッカーを慎重に接着します。ステッカーをディスプレイカバーの端に合わせます。下側から始めてください。

ステッカー越しにPRUSAの白い文字が見えます。2枚目の写真と向きを比べてみてください。

⬢ステッカーを接着した後、ステッカーの全長に沿ってあらゆる方向へ指で押し伸ばし、完璧に接着するようにします。

Step 18 xLCD-cover sticker (optional)

この作業には忍耐と注意が必要です。完璧に接着するには、パーツの適切な脱脂と周囲温度によります。

⬢保護層をゆっくりとはがしていきます。レタリングに保護層を軽く押し付けながら剥がします。すべての文字が接着されているかを確認してください。

⬢保護層をはがした後、最終的な外観が写真と一致していることを確認します。

Step 19 PG-case sticker (optional)

This and the following step are optional. Also, please BE PATIENT, smaller letters require more effort in order to be transfered and glued properly.

⬢クリーニングパッドを使用して、PG-caseの前面を掃除します。

⬢保護層の一部をはがし、ステッカーをPG-caseに慎重に接着します。ステッカーはカバーの端に合わせてください。

⬢See the detail to ensure the correct orientation of the sticker. Use the screw holes as a guide.

⬢ステッカーを接着した後、ステッカーの全長に沿ってあらゆる方向へ指で押し伸ばし、完璧に接着するようにします。

Step 20 PG-case sticker (optional)

この作業には忍耐と注意が必要です。完璧に接着するには、パーツの適切な脱脂と周囲温度によります。

⬢保護層をはがした後、最終的な外観が写真と一致していることを確認します。

Step 21 Sticking the serial number label

このステップは製品保証のために必要です。ラベルは捨てないでください。

⬢ラベル裏面の保護層をはがします。

⬢背面プレートの左側にラベルを貼り付けます。表面が汚れていないことを確認してください。付属のクリーニングパッドを使用してください。

Step 22 Safety label (optional)

⬢Take a look at the front side of the printer frame. There should be a yellow safety label on the right side of the frame.

⬢Peel off the label.

⬢Use the supplied cleaning pad to wipe the area where the label was applied.

⬢Take a new safety label. Peel off the bottom protective layer from the label and glue the label on the clean surface of the frame.

Please note that the following pictures in the manual were taken with a previous (yellow) version of the safety sticker. This is because they were taken before the new sticker was available.
