Where can you get 3D models?

The best way to get started with your own 3D printing is to find already-created models on the internet - they should be in the .stl or .obj format. Fortunately, there is a lot of fans and there are sites from which you can download a large variety of ready-made 3D models - ranging from a simple shaver holder to a detailed aircraft engine model.

3D models are generally free to download under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Non Commercial (Models not to be used commercially, otherwise you must always include the name of the author) or for a small fee.
