<p>ファーストレイヤーキャリブレーションは、ノズルの先端とプリント面の距離を調整するためのものです。 押し出されたフィラメントが、わずかに押しつぶされてヒートベッドにぴったりとくっついている状態になるようにノズルの高さを調整していきます。</p>
<p>組立て済みのPrusaプリンターはすでに微調整されています。このキャリブレーションは、キットバージョンを組み立てた場合、またはノズルを変更する場合のみ必要となります。 ファーストキャリブレーションはウィザードの一部です(XYZキャリブレーションの最後のステップ)。 後で <em>LCD menu - Calibration - First Layer Calibration</em> から再度、ファーストキャリブレーションをすることもできます。 このキャリブレーションを実行中、プリンターがジグザグパターンをプリントしているときに、ノブを回してノズルとベッド間の距離を手動で調整していきます。</p>

<h4>高すぎる</h4>

<h4>低すぎる</h4>
<p>ノズルの位置が低すぎると (<span style="color: #e03e2d;">右の写真</span>) ラインが完全に押しつぶされており、最後の塗りつぶし四角形の<strong>ライン間に隆起が見られるときは、ノズル位置が低すぎるサインで</strong> 適正値よりゼロから離れた値になっています。 低すぎると、塗りつぶし四角形の端がめくれ上がりはじめることもあります。極端な場合、フィラメントが非常に薄く広がり、プリントされたフィラメントが透けて見えるようになり、ホットエンドの詰まりの原因にもなります。</p>
<h4>適正</h4>
<p>適正に調整すると、ライン間に隙間や隆起がなく、平らな表面 (<span style="color: #2dc26b;">中央の写真</span>) が形成されます。 先に述べたように、数値はP.I.N.D.A./SuperPINDAセンサーが固定されている位置とノズル先端の高低差によって異なります。これは各マシンで固有であり、プリントしたときの状況を目視でチェックしなければ意味がありませんが、目安としての<strong>一般的な範囲は-0.400 〜 -1.500です。</strong></p>

<h3>テクスチャー加工シート</h3>
<p>テクスチャー加工シートは、PEIのスムーズシートよりも薄いため、ノズルを少し近づける必要がありますが、スムーズシートと同じ結果を求めています。繰り返しますが、<strong>設定が低すぎると(<span style="color: #e03e2d;">右の写真</span>) 、フィラメントが付着していないように、フィラメントがエッジの周りで丸まり始める</strong>ことがあります。数値が適正値よりもゼロから遠すぎていますので、調整し直す必要があります。</p>

<h3>1層目のキャリブレーションを実行するタイミング</h3>

<h3>その他の問題</h3>

<h3>うまくプリントするためのヒント</h3>
<p><strong>温度設定と冷却</strong></p>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>While loading to the extruder, as soon as the filament sensor detects a filament the printer performs an automatic loading check. If the check fails, this error is shown. Each failed load might be accompanied by the printer beeping.</p>
<p>The printer’s automatic loading check loads approximately 40mm of filament and then unloads 30mm of it. If the filament sensor stops detecting a filament at any time during the process, the error is shown. This process is very sensitive, so making a precise Filament sensor calibration is needed in order to prevent print defects.</p>

<p>If there is a<strong> line instead</strong> of any blocks (drop in the sensor’s reading), this means that the sensor <strong>stopped detecting</strong> filament at that moment, resulting in a failed loading check. The printer then retries the load. If the cut function is enabled, the MMU tries to cut a filament tip. If the drop while loading persists even during the retries, the printer unloads the filament and shows the error.</p>
<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<ul>
<li>Redo the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/ir-filament-sensor-calibration-mmu2s_2245">IR filament sensor calibration (MMU2S) [進行中の翻訳]</a>.</li>
<li>While the printer is Idle, you can use the Loading test in <em>LCD menu -&gt; Settings -&gt; Loading Test</em> to verify the filament is able to load properly.</li>
<li>Undo the PTFE tube from the FESTO fitting and pull the filament out by hand to inspect it. The last 40cm (15") of each should have no dents in it, or the gears won't be able to grab the filament. Cut off part of the filament with defects such as indentation or a deformed tip. Make sure the filament end is straight and has a sharp tip at the end. Reattach the PTFE tube and hit Retry.</li>

<li>Inspect the filament spool and the buffer for excessive friction or filament jam. Make sure the filament is able to move freely.</li>
<li>Use only high-quality filaments. Certain poor-quality filaments or very specific types of material might not work correctly with the MMU.</li>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>Implausible reading by the Filament sensor inside the extruder, while loading a filament. The filament shouldn't be in the extruder yet but is detected there anyway. </p>

<p>Remake the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/ir-filament-sensor-calibration-mmu2s_2245">IR filament sensor calibration (MMU2S) [進行中の翻訳]</a>. </p>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>While the MMU unit was unloading a filament, the SuperFINDA sensor inside the selector stayed triggered/detecting a filament, while it shouldn’t. </p>

<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<p>Check if the filament has been unloaded or not.</p>
<p>If the filament has been unloaded, but the superFINDA is still triggered, open the Festo fitting connected to the selector, and check if there is anything stuck in the selector (e.g. broken filament, string).</p>

<p>In case the filament is stuck between the MMU unit and the extruder, remove the PTFE tube from the FESTO fitting. Remove any debris that might be stuck in the PTFE tube. pull out approx. 40cm of filament and inspect it for indents. If there are any, cut off the damaged part of the filament, re-install the PTFE tube, and hit Retry.</p>
<p>Make sure that the tip of the filament is sharp, and not stringy or expanded so that the issue does not happen again.<img decoding="async" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://cdn.help.prusa3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/db89b73cc9e446ce_painted.jpeg" sizes="(min-width: 1024px) 820px, 100vw" srcset="FINDA: Filam. <p>If there is any debris or broken pieces of filament inside the selector, it can be cleared up using the 1.5mm Allen key, if you remove the FESTO fitting and move the selector all the way to the right. If the SuperFINDA sensor was triggered due to debris / broken filament, the actual filament might be far behind the pulley wheel and might need pushing into the MMU from the back, while retrying the loading operation.</p>
<p>Multi-material operation is sensitive to proper temperature settings. Check that you are using the correct settings for the given material in Slicer. Incorrect nozzle temperatures will cause issues with filament load/unload. Note that with MMU, some 3rd party filaments might behave differently than during the single-material operation even with the same settings.</p>
<p>Some filaments sensitive to moisture might need to be dried out before use. Moist filaments are usually more stringy and this might cause the filaments to jam. <p>It is recommended to use only high-quality filaments. Certain poor-quality filaments or very specific filament types won’t work correctly with the MMU. In this case, change the slicer settings according to the manufacturer's instructions.</p>

FINDA: Filament Stuck #04102 (MMU)

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>Before it can align with any of the filament positions, the Idler inside the MMU unit needs to be “homed” to determine its position. First, the Idler moves to one end of the travel (endstop). Then, it moves to the other endstop, while measuring the angle between the end stops. The idler homes after the unit starts up has been reset or after another error occurred.</p>
<p>In case it can’t find the first homing endstop or the distance between the two endstops differs from the expected value, the printer will show an error.</p>
<p>Distance between the Idler endstops: 225 degrees <br />Allowed deviation: 10 degrees</p>

<li>In some specific cases, the unit might not be able to find the first homing endstop. This can occur, for example, when using a non-standard motor for the Idler axis. Adjusting the stall guard thresholds might help.<br />
<h4>Adjusting the Idler Stallguard threshold:</h4>
<p>When using an unsupported, third-party hardware or a rare differently-sized version of the Idler motor from the MMU1 to MMU2 upgrade kits or the early batch of MMU2, later upgraded to MMU2S and finally to MMU3, you might need to tweak the sensitivity threshold of the StallGuard feature (<strong>Idler_sg_thrs_R</strong>). The current MK3S+ printer firmware allows you to Tune the threshold to a value between 4 and 7, directly from the error screen. If none of the values in this range help, you may need to set it to a value outside this range.</p>
<p>Some of these specific units might need to set the Idler sensitivity to a higher number such as 10. <br />You can do so by running a specific G-code command: <strong>M708 A0x19 X10</strong>. (where X10 denotes threshold value 10.) After that you can reset the MMU with: M709 command. Note that the commands are case-sensitive.</p>
<p>The command can be either run in a G-code file, or sent to the printer via USB connection, using a serial terminal app such as <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/crash-dump_364959#putty">PuTTY</a>.</p>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>Implausible SuperFINDA sensor reading. This error occurs when the SuperFINDA sensor detects filament inside the Selector, but the MMU has no record of any filament being loaded. As a result, it cannot determine which filament position is loaded and cannot perform the unload automatically.</p>
<p>This often happens due to a <strong>malfunctioning or improperly calibrated SuperFINDA sensor</strong>.</p>
<p>Another potential cause could be if the <strong>filament was inserted</strong> into the selector manually, <strong>bypassing the menu/buttons</strong>, or restarting the printer during a load/unload operation before it was completed.</p>

<li>Inspect the filament spool and the buffer for excessive friction or filament jam. Make sure the filament is able to move freely.</li>
<li>Go over the assembly manual and verify if the barrel is in the correct orientation.</li>
<li>Check the pulley gears for any filament remains, and make sure that the teeth are clean.</li>
<li>Check that the corresponding pulley inside the MMU unit is properly aligned with the filament and is clean.</li>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>Before it can align with any of the filament positions, the selector on the MMU unit needs to be “homed” to determine its position. For that, the selector moves from one end stop to the other while measuring the distance between them. The selector will home after the unit starts up, has been reset, or after another error occurred.</p>
<p>In case the Selector can't find the first homing endstop, or the distance between the endstops differs from the expected value, the printer will show this error.</p>
<p>Distance between the Selector endstops: 75mm<br />Allowed deviation: 3mm</p>

<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<p>The selector might not move due to obstacles, debris, or remaining filament in its way. Before proceeding, make sure that the path of the selector is clean, and that any filament that has been cut by the selector blade is removed.</p>
<p>Clean also any filament that might be under the selector in the pulley body.</p>
<h4>Clearing the Selector</h4>
<p>Open the front Festo fitting to check the Selector.</p>
<p>If there is filament sticking out from the front PTFE tube, or sticking out from the MMU unit into the selector, take an Allen key to push the filament back.</p>
<p>If the selector has tried to move with the filament still inside it, turn the printer off, and manually turn the motor threaded rod until it aligns with the pulley body and you can pull the filament from the back of the MMU unit or push from the front of the selector with an Allen key. After that, <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/finda-setup-and-troubleshooting_2250">adjust the FINDA height</a>.</p>
<h4>Assembly</h4>
<p>In case the Selector is clean from filaments, check the following items in the <strong>MMU unit assembly</strong>.</p>
<ul>
<li>Verify if the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/finda-setup-and-troubleshooting_2250"><strong>SuperFINDA</strong></a> sensor reads correctly.</li>
<li>The <strong>trapezoid nut</strong> on the selector motor might be loose or offset to one side. Remake the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/guide/6-pulley-body-assembly_328918">Selector motor installation</a>.</li>
<li>The <strong>bushing tubes</strong> should be flush with the body of the Selector.</li>
</ul>
<div class="tip-callout">Both bushing tubes and the trapezoid nut are self-lubricating. Do not apply any lubricant to the trapezoid nut.</div>
<ul>
<li>The selector motor<strong> </strong>must not be loose on the MMU unit body. The top corner screw should be tightened slightly looser compared to the other two. The two screws should be tightened evenly. Remake the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/guide/6-pulley-body-assembly_328918">Selector motor installation</a>.</li>
<li>In case you have printed the parts yourself, check if the <strong>printed parts</strong> do not have any surfaces that are lifted.</li>
<li>Especially the <strong>first time</strong> you are using the MMU unit, verify that the motors are connected in the correct order.</li>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>After a startup / restart, the MMU unit performs a self-test. It checks if the main control board behaves correctly and if all the signals from the microcontroller get to the TMC motor drivers on the control board properly. If the MMU unit suspects the communication with the pulley motor TMC driver might not behave correctly, this error is shown.</p>
<h3>How to fix it? </h3>
<p>- Make sure your MMU3 unit is correctly assembled with the PD-board addon attached.</p>
<p>- Verify all the cables are in good condition and the connections are stable. <strong>Do not move, connect or disconnect the cables while the printer is on!</strong></p>

MMU Selftest failed #04305 (MMU)

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>When the MMU unit unloads a filament from the extruder, the filament sensor inside the extruder should stop detecting the filament. In case it does not, this error appears.</p>
<div class="tip-callout">If there is an issue with unloading, the MMU gears might grind the filament. In case this happens, cut off about 40 cm at the of the filament, otherwise, errors might happen later.</div>
<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<p>Check the PTFE tube that leads from the MMU unit to the extruder, and see if the filament has been unloaded or not.</p>
<p>In case the filament has been unloaded, but the printer shows this error, remake the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/ir-filament-sensor-calibration-mmu2s_2245">filament sensor calibration</a>. </p>
<h4>Extruder</h4>
<p>In case the filament has not been unloaded, make sure that the nozzle is heated for the filament you are using. Then open the Extruder idler screw and the Festo fitting on the top of the extruder, and manually pull the filament. Note that some force might be necessary.</p>
<p>On the MK3S, check the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/checking-re-aligning-the-bondtech-gear-mk3s-mk2-5s_133176">alignment of the idler door and the Bondtech gears</a>. On the idler door, check if the gear is moving freely and that the shaft is connected to both sides of the plastic part.</p>
<p>Make sure that there is no debris or pieces of filament in the idler door or extruder gears causing the filament sensor to falsely trigger.</p>

Unknown error #04900 (MMU)

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>The filament has been ejected to the front of the MMU unit so that you can remove it.</p>
<div class="tip-callout">This feature is handy in case you are using the Spooljoin function. A depleted filament might be too short in order to be removed easily from the back of the unit. By ejecting it to the front of the unit, you can easily grab it and discard it. </div>
<h3>How to proceed?</h3>
<p>Remove and discard the ejected piece of filament and hit the button on the LCD screen.</p>
<p>If you accidentally triggered the eject function, push the ejected filament back into the MMU unit and make sure it isn’t protruding out of the short front PTFE tubes - so that the selector doesn’t jam later on.</p>

Filament ejected #04507 (MMU)

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>The <strong>MK4/MK3.9/MK3.5 xBuddy board</strong> is equipped with a safety mechanism to detect power supply overcurrent situations in the connection to the Multi-material unit (MMU). Upon detecting overcurrent, the printer automatically cuts off both power and communication to the MMU unit as a preventive measure against damage.</p>
<h3>I don't have an MMU installed</h3>
<p>If you haven't installed an MMU, make sure to disable the MMU functionality in the printer's menu in Settings -&gt; MMU Enable. However, if you still face this issue with the MMU option being turned off, it might indicate a damaged component on the xBuddy board. Please reach out to <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/customer-support_2287">カスタマーサポート</a> for assistance.</p>
<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<div class="note-callout">The MMU unit should not be connected or disconnected during regular use while the printer is running.</div>
<p>Inspect the <strong>MMU, Printer cable, and PD board</strong> for any signs of damage. Check the cable's path to the xBuddy board for any broken or pinched parts.</p>
<p>If there's no visible damage, ensure the cable connections to the MMU PDU and the xBuddy board are secure.</p>
<p>To troubleshoot, first disconnect the <strong><span style="color: #f1c40f;">MMU cable</span></strong> from the xBuddy board, go to the printer menu in <em>Settings -&gt; MMU Enable</em> and set the MMU to off. Verify if the printer operates correctly with the MMU unit disconnected and the MMU functionality turned off. After confirming this, reconnect the MMU and test the printer with the MMU turned on.</p>
<p>In rare cases, this error message might be shown due to a damaged xBuddy board. Try checking the board for any signs of damage.</p>

<p>The xBuddy board is constantly monitoring the current flowing through the electronics. If the power draw exceeds 3.6A on the MMU connector's power line, the printer will display this error, and the corresponding LED indicator on the xBuddy board will illuminate. A potential overcurrent condition is likely to occur after the first startup, as power demand peaks while capacitors are charging. </p>
<p>The xBuddy board is designed with the capability to fully manage power delivery to the MMU unit, incorporating a software feature to mitigate such overcurrent scenarios. However, this function is specifically calibrated for the original MMU3 unit. In certain unsupported hardware configurations, this may result in a false error indication.</p>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>The selector on the MMU unit needs to move or re-home but a filament inside it is detected unexpectedly by SuperFINDA sensor. The selector can’t proceed because there might be filament in it.</p>

<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<p>It is possible to check the FINDA status either by checking the light on top of it or on the LCD.</p>

<p>If there is no filament under the SuperFINDA sensor but its status is still 1, check the Selector for any leftover filament or debris.</p>
<p>If necessary, recalibrate the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/finda-setup-and-troubleshooting_2250">superFINDA</a> by following the <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/guide/10b-mk3s-setup-and-calibration_334155">assembly guide chapter to re-calibrate the SuperFINDA sensor.</a></p>
<p>Clear the selector from any filament or debris causing the SuperFINDA sensor to remain triggered.</p>

Inspect FINDA #04107 (MMU)

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>It seems, the MMU unit has either an old or an incompatible firmware version.<br />The printer will show you an expected firmware version for the MMU unit.</p>
<p>For example, this error is shown when using the old MMU2S firmware 1.0.6 or below in combination with the newer printer’s firmware such as 3.13 or up on MK3S+. </p>
<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<p>Make sure that are using the correct up-to-date firmware for both the printer and the MMU unit: <a href="https://help.prusa3d.com/downloads">Firmware download</a>.</p>

<h3>What happened?</h3>
<p>This is a generic error message indicating that a software fault was detected on the MMU unit. This might be an error that doesn’t have its own specific error code yet.</p>
<h3>How to fix it?</h3>
<p>Make sure that are using the correct up-to-date firmware for both the printer and the MMU unit: <a href="https://help.prusa3d.com/downloads">Firmware download</a>.</p>
<p>If that does not solve the error, take note of all the actions that preceded the error happening. Try to reproduce the error, and <a href="http://help.prusa3d.com/ja/article/logging-data-over-serial-line-mmu2s_355360">save the log</a>.</p>
