You guys need an updated set of instructions that is optimized for putting printer together with the enclosure from scratch. The amount of rework needed here is ridiculous.

I totally agree. And on the printer assembly manual there is just a "Si vous avez acheté l'imprimante XL avec la XL Enclosure, veuillez consulter les instructions de la XL Enclosure pour voir comment cette étape sera modifiée." A link to the enclosure step chap 3 will be usefull, instead of foing through 57++ steps

For people like me, who want to have a reference how long it usually takes, I needed an hour and 15 minutes to upgrade the printer.
