Introduction
This guide will take you through the PrusaLink setup on your Original Prusa MK4, MK3.9, XL or MINI/+ printer.
You will need to connect the printer to the network using Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection.
Some details differ on various printer types but in general, the process is the same. Note that on MINI/+, you have to install the Wi-Fi module first.
First, read the article about PrusaLink and Prusa Connect to get general information about these services.
Insert the bundled USB flash drive into the printer and keep it there.

Networking options
Your assembled Original Prusa MK4 comes with a pre-installed ESP Wi-Fi module.
The preferred network connection type can be selected in the menu Settings > Network > Default
Make sure Wi-Fi is selected.
Note: The Wi-Fi module supports 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz networking only. A 5Ghz network will not work.
If you prefer the wired Ethernet connection to the network, use the connector on the back of the printer and skip to Obtaining the IP address.

Skip this step, if you have already set the credentials in PrusaSlicer.

Connect the USB drive to your computer.
Locate the prusa_printer_settings.ini file created by the printer on the USB drive. Open it up in text editor.
Go to the second line named ssid= and write down the name of the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect your printer to.

To connect to the printer, you can either use PrusaLink over the local network,
or use Prusa Connect, the cloud service accessible from anywhere.
To start using PrusaLink, we need to obtain the printer’s IP address. After the connection was established, navigate to the menu Settings > Network > IPv4 Address. Note down the IP address shown.
Open up a web browser on your computer. Insert the IP address into the address line and open it up as a webpage.
Note, this IP address is accessible on your local network only and might change over time according to your network setup.
