Introduction
This guide will walk you through connecting to a network and setting up PrusaLink on your Original Prusa MK4/S, MK3.9/S, MK3.5, XL or MINI/+ printer.
For general information about the remote connectivity services, check out the PrusaLink and Prusa Connect article.
Some details differ on various printer types but in general, the process is the same.
on MINI/+, you have to install the Wi-Fi module first.
Insert the bundled USB flash drive into the printer and keep it there.

Your assembled Original Prusa MK4/S comes with a pre-installed ESP Wi-Fi module.
The preferred network connection type can be selected in the menu Settings > Network > Active Interface (called "Default" in older firmwares).
Make sure Wi-Fi is selected, in order to use it.
Note: The Wi-Fi module supports 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz networking only. A 5Ghz network will not work.
If you prefer the wired Ethernet connection, use the connector on the back of the printer and skip to PrusaLink: IP Address.

At the first printer startup, the Network setup screen shows up automatically.
Or, open up the Wi-Fi setup wizard in the menu Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Wizard
On MK4S, we recommend to upload your Wi-Fi credentials via the NFC using the Prusa Mobile App.
Follow the on-screen instructions and hold your phone within 2–3 cm of the NFC antenna.
After a successful connection, skip to the PrusaLink: IP Address.
To use another method of entering the credentials, select Cancel, choose from the Wi-Fi wizard menu and continue to the next step.

To enter the Wi-Fi credentials using your computer, select Load config from file.
With firmware 6.0.0 or newer, the printer will wait for a valid config file.

With firmware older than version 6.0.0, the printer generates a prusa_printer_settings.ini file on the USB drive.

Remove the USB drive from the printer.
If there is a valid configuration file on the USB drive already, you can skip these steps and just load it straight away.

If the PrusaSlicer method doesn’t suit you, you can also insert the Wi-Fi credentials manually, using a text editor.

Skip this step, if you have already set the credentials in PrusaSlicer.

Connect the USB drive to your computer.
Locate or create the prusa_printer_settings.ini file on the USB drive. Open it up in text editor.
Go to the second line named ssid= and write down the name of the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect your printer to.
Go to the third line named psk= and write down the Wi-Fi password.
Save the file on the USB drive.

PrusaLink is accessible over the local network only, unlike the Prusa Connect, which is accessible from the Internet.
To start using PrusaLink, we need to obtain the printer’s IP address. Navigate to the menu Settings > Network > IPv4 Address. Note down the IP address shown.
Note, this IP address might change over time according to your network setup.
Open up a web browser on your computer. Insert the IP address into the address line and open it up as a webpage.
