Brilliant tip. Thanks. Saved me unnecessary dismantling.
Similar experience, I completely removed the idler screw but then released the other screws as described so creating the gap in photo 1 of step 5, I could then see a very small piece of filament resting in the top of the ptfe tube which was preventing filament from loading, managed to remove it with a small pair of tweezers.
To be honest, careful use of a vacuum may also have got it out had i known in advance

You're a life saver! I tried this first and I could see a small piece of filament sticking out of the tube and it was off centre... probably from a bad unload. I took what I could out of the top then reloaded some filament while using the needle on the other end and boom, our popped the clog without having to replace anything! Thanks so much for the tip!
