Live Z Adjust Not Saving

The Live Z Adjust allows users to make corrections to the starting layers height. This is a handy feature to make sure you get the perfect first layer.

If you are turning on your machine and seeing a message telling you that the machine has not been calibrated or you notice that the Live Z Adjust Value is not being stored, it's likely you have skipped a step in the calibration process.

Once the machine is fully assembled, the workflow for getting the machine calibrated is the following:

  1. Run "Self Test"
  2. Run Calibrate XYZ
  3. Print "V2Calibration.gcode"

If you do not run the "V2Calibration.gcode" the Live Z Adjust value that you find or adjust to will not be stored.

If you purchased a fully assembled kit and having similar issues, it's best to run through the same steps as above for the kit version.

If the above does not solve the issue, please follow the instructions for a full factory reset and re-run the above steps.

If the issue still persists, please contact support at info@prusa3d.com and we will be more than happy to assist you.
